Ministry: IT business promises not to raise prices fast

MOSCOW, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s leading IT associations have initiated and signed the Price Charter of socially responsible IT business on a]voluntary limitation of a fast increase of program prices, the Digital Development Ministry said late on Thursday in a statement.

Signing of the charter resulted from the risks of a significant increase of software replacement prices for parastatal clients, which are related to the need of an urgent and expensive transition to local from foreign software.

The document will contribute to reaching a balance of interests of the government, the largest economic subjects, and the IT industry that should ensure the country’s digital independence.

It was signed at the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference held in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
